Greetings from back here on Planet Earth!  If you missed the first installment of Command D, let me catch you up to speed.  Every week, I bring you the readers of Steve's Word some of the wonders of the Internet.  Last week we explored looking inside the Internet at the possibilities for what it even means to be in the Internet.  This week we explore looking out of the Internet at the wonders of our little Third Rock from the Sun.

The youTUBE* phenomenon of user videos has broadened our ability to see the world around us like we never imagined.  Most of the following links are part of this miraculous new way of communicating with the world about the world around us.  Some are amateur videos and some are from pros, but they all share the common link that they have found an archive online that forms a part of our consciousness.  And now on to the videos!

This Week: The SKY!

1.   It's been rainy here in NY today, but it could be worse.  Of course if you're a hackneyed photographer/videographer it's a good day.

2.   Of course, not all weather is bad weather.  It can also be freaky weather.

3.   Keep looking up too, you don't wanna miss anything.  Shortly after that happened, this was seen nearby.

4.   But lets get serious for a second.  The stars are not scary, they are awe inspiring.

5.   A cloud of a different sort.  Maybe you shouldn't look up too much.

6.   Clouds bring rain.

7.   Rain makes the rivers.**

8.   The rivers flow to the sea. Oh yeah, I guess now just grabbing a clip off of ebaumsworld counts as a music video (then again, I'm calling this an article!).

9.   Sometimes oceans meet.  Okay, okay, these last few are not exactly "sky" themed links.
